Elation Public Speaking Lessons

Open up your sound and find your true voice!

New students:

  • 1x 45min introduction session + 6x 45min lessons in 8 weeks

    • Storytelling
    • Role-playing

Returning students:

  • 7x 45min lessons in 8 weeks
    • Review warmups
    • Practice vocal exercises
    • Enhance performance skills
    • Present and perform speech

Improve your tone, range, clarity, projection, stance, stage presence and body language.

Type of session:

  • private 1-on-1
  • in-person
  • or virtual (online via webcam)

Discover your true voice and conquer stage fright.

Elation

  • You have 8 weeks to complete 7x 45 min sessions.
  • If, for any reason, you do not complete all 7x sessions within 56 days, you will no longer qualify for the Elation Package Discount, it will revert to pay-as-you-go and therefore additional fees will apply.
  • 56 days begins on the date of your first appointment booking, so be sure to schedule all your package sessions before the deadline or risk losing your remaining sessions.
  • You may choose to book:
    • Single 45min weekly sessions and/or
    • Double 90min (2x 45min) weekly sessions and/or
    • 2 to 3 sessions per week

24hrs notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session. Less than 24hrs notice, you WILL lose that session.

Mirror

Practice everyday in front of a full length mirror.

Cold

Have a cold? Drink warm liquids and rest before you perform.

Don’t Stop

Don’t stop just because you made a mistake. Keep going!

Humming

Humming is an excellent vocal warm up.

Singing Lessons

Drink

Drink water. Stay hydrated!

Teachable

Be teachable.

Steam

Practice daily in the shower. The steam helps open up your sinuses.

Dance

To loosen up, dance while you practice your song/speech.

Mumblers

Mumblers are never taken seriously. Open your mouth and people will listen.

Relax

Relax, slow down, take your time and don’t rush. Less is more!

Message

Focus on the message and stage fright becomes less important.

Goals

Stay focused on your goals.

Thinking

If you’re trying to think of what to say next, then you are not listening.

Smile

When you perform, Smile! If you think you’ll look silly then consider what it looks like when when all you do is frown.

Listening

Listening is equally as important as singing or speaking. Be teachable!

Participate

Participate in open mics, karaokes, spoken word, poetry jams and improv.

Public Speaking Lessons

Exercise

Exercise/energize hours before you perform. Run, swim, yoga etc.

Mistakes

No one cares about your mistakes more than you.

Talent

Everyone has a talent. Many choose to ignore it.
